We finally got to play a show in Astoria, which had been Rob’s home neighborhood for a long time, and which is still the location of our practice studio (though we now just rent an hourly), which is quite exciting. Shillelagh’s Tavern isn’t exactly in the heart of the neighborhood, but it’s still a great little location on 30th Ave and it’s not hard to get to. This was also our first show with Dave Brooks, who has joined us on a permanent basis after filling in last year when Angel Leyva broke his arm and then left the band. For the evening we opened for our old friends Warhead, who many of you may remember from the Groundhog Day show a few years ago. It was a great night with fantastic performances by both groups, and an excellent crowd as well!
